Joe
Murray started working with window film back in the early
1970's
in California. That was when the industry was in its infancy.
That was before film had an adhesive backing. It was at a
time when the glue had to be applied directly on the film by
the technician at the time of installation. After a day's work,
Joe would change out of his work clothes, but the clothes
were so stiff from the glue that his shirt and pants
would stand up by themselves.
Joe
took a part time job with an independent installer. That grew
into a full time job and
he has been working with window film ever since. Joe
was in on the ground level when new products and techniques
were being developed. Joe has worked with many different installers
over the years and that has given him the benefit of seeing
many different approaches to the job. He has been involved
in the testing of many new ideas and products. He has
gained an appreciation for
the different
challenges
and benefits of window film application.
Joe
worked his way across the United States and Canada. He met
many people from different film manufacturers that he still
considers as friends today. When he returned to Southern Ontario,
he set up shop for himself. Joe still plays an active roll
in the installation side of the business. His customers feel
that gives him the edge by not losing sight of the original
concept of window film — and
keeps him constantly in touch with his customers' needs.
